sure! ok his moms name was Lilly Evans and then she married James Potter, which made her Lily Potter. then Voldemort killed them, because there was a prophecy that said that a little boy who was born in the end of July would overcome him, so he tried to kill harry, but for some reason it didnt work, and then he nearly died, but he had horcruxes which are magical items that keep you alive, so then harry went to live with is aunt, uncle, and cousin who are very cruel to him, then he goes to hogwarts. that is all i m going to say for now bcuz it is a very long story and i dont want to type it all in one post. actually i think that once j.k. rowling comes out with her harry potter encyclopedia i will send u a copy! lol.

slythering: hp's arch rival is in, named after an evil wizard salazar slythterin also one of the founders of the school
hufflepuff: no one really important is in, named after Helga Hufflepuff one of the founders of the school
ravenclaw: no one really important is in, my favorite house, named after Rowena Ravenclaw one of the founders of the school
